The FireOps platform
What is FireOps?
FireOps is an operational readiness and response management platform for fire and emergency services. It connects personnel, skills, certifications, vehicles, equipment, availability and incident requirements to provide a real-time view of operational capability.
What FireOps manages
FireOps brings the determinants of operational capability into one connected picture, so a station can see what it is genuinely able to do — not just who is on the roster.
- Personnel and their real-time availability.
- Skills and certifications, including certification validity.
- Vehicles and their operational status.
- Equipment and its availability.
- Incident requirements — the capabilities each type of call demands.
How FireOps calculates operational readiness
FireOps compares the resources that are actually available — qualified personnel, serviceable vehicles and equipment — against the capability an incident type requires. The result updates in real time as availability changes, certifications approach expiry and units deploy, so readiness reflects reality rather than a periodic report.
How FireOps supports dispatch decisions
FireOps provides capability-based decision support. It shows which resources hold the skills, certifications and equipment an incident requires, helping identify the best-suited unit rather than simply the nearest one. It supports the decision; it does not replace the dispatcher.
Does FireOps replace a CAD system?
No. FireOps complements a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. It adds a real-time, capability-based view of readiness and can exchange information with a CAD system, but it is not itself a dispatch system.
Can FireOps operate during a network outage?
FireOps is designed with a local-first architecture so a station retains access to its readiness data during a network outage. Data lives and is processed on-site and synchronises when connectivity is restored.
